Ideas for installations, performances, happenings and site specific art works for this year's Arts Festival at Thomas Tallis School

Here's a really interesting installation commissioned by virgin media

ranging from presenting video work on mobile devices (phone, psp, etc)
to TV and monitor based work
to large scale, indoor and outdoor, digital projection
video installation work created by 6th formers
Some of the work will be presented on multiple screens, whereas some will be single channel looped work

Create an episode of Doctor Who visiting Tallis Past, Present & Future. Mixture of animation and live action.

Have a late night film screening on the concourse, drape a screen from the link, followed by a sleepover on concourse with tents.

There was lots of excitement about new technologies amongst staff at the InSeT can we commission a group of staff to create a live blog/website to share events?
I particularly like the idea of measuring 'intangibles' - could it link in with the Facebook research you did with former students?
A breakout exhibition space (yearbase), to curate a mixed media , installation environment.

Mike Shaw exhibits his exam desk rubbings in a large scale installation.
Friends of Tallis host a fancy dress BBQ inspired by the theme 'Past, Present & Future'. The steel bands play songs from the last 35 years.
Mike Shaw's Guerrilla Art enrichment group create a series of temporary installations based on their responses to the theme 'Past, Present & Future'
Collaborate with Tangled Feet to create a site specific performance inspired by measuring happiness at Tallis. Repeat performances for variety of audiences.
Create a series of camera obscura out of classrooms either side of the concourse. Photograph the projected images and display.
Create a series of dance performances (KS3) based on found sound compositions and perform in unlikely places, unannounced e.g. stairs, reception, link etc.
Work with Guy Connelly from Clock Opera to create a pocket symphony for Thomas Tallis using found sounds. Perform with the digital orchestra (see below)
Have a street party on the concourse. Design place settings for local people, create specially designed bunting and serve food made by local residents.
Build a shed on the concourse inspired by Nishitomo Nara's collaborations with Graf. Fill it with Tallis memorabilia.
Create a series of signs around the building instructing people how to feel inspired by Bob and Roberta Smith
A series of performances combine the human voice with live instrumentation inspired by Charles Spearin's The Happiness Project. Memories of Tallis
A digital orchestra made up of handheld devices, sampled sounds, laptops etc. performs music inspired by the architecture of the school
