"Green Eggs and Ham" - even this daft cartoon book has a narrative! ;-)

patpending says

The Moomin family seem like any ordinary family living in a beautiful valley, surrounded by strange monsters and parkkeepers. ;-)

patpending says

Imagine a tiny family living behind your skirting-board and "borrowing" what they need! (Wonder if they use biros as see-saws?)

patpending says

The Billy Bunter books are full of plot, description and laughs! Up to 1940, all kinds of children bought these boarding-school stories weekly themselves!

patpending says

I think Miss Ross may have read "Five on a Treasure Island" ;-) but ignore the fact that things are different now and you have a thrilling detective story!

patpending says

Folllow this story of Ancient Egypt and ask yourself: will Asterix beat the baddies?

Classic adventures with this British airman in the First World War. Many Biggles stories are available, all with a gripping story, but these are short stories.

Mr. M says

Davegarlan, we have looked at a series of books called Project X. Some of these are in 2nd person - choose your own adventure style! Not mainstream books though

davegarlan says

I never know whether I prefer 1st person or 3rd person narrativer. Are there any examples of great writing in 2nd person ?

Mr. M says

There are quite a few books out there that cross a few different genres of fiction. Harry Potter is one of them: A child's book? Adventure? Mystical? Magical?

Hazra says

I like the Jimmy Coates series. It is a book that it is full of action. Furthermore it is written by Joe Craig. It is about a boy who is an assasin. 11/10

Halimah y6 says

One of my favourite storie's are also Mystry Stories as the further u read the mysterious and interesting it gets

MrsSpencer says

I really enjoy short story sci fi. Ray Bradbury has a genius for setting scene & not resolving the story at the end, leaving the reader unsure of the outcome.

Mr. Smith says

My favourite books are Mystery books! I just love a good 'Who done it!'

Miss Ross says

What is considered to be great narrative writing changes with time. When I was young it was all 'lashings & lashings of lemonade!'

MrLeach says

Does Science Fiction have to involve aliens and spaceships?

Mr. M says

Narrative takes many forms, horror is just one of them. Horror would make you feel scared when you read it. It may have short sharp sentences too.
