Political - A giant wall was built in Berlin to prevent highly skilled citizens escaping from the communist side and going to the free side.

Economic - Due to the rise of munitions and war related industries, other markets were getting neglected such as house building etc.

Social - Families were torn apart by deaths from either soldiers, or civilians killed in the fighting/bombing.

Economic - Most countries who were involved had to pay lot's of money to repair cities and roads after the fighting. Especially France.

Political - Most governments felt that they had to repay the soldiers and those who were injured. The NHS was set up in the UK.
