Great Idea with the wall Mr P. I might start one up with my class if they interested.
Remember to always do "FISC" working out steps:
Formula written down
Information obtained
Substitution of information
Calculated answer
I did virtually no study, and still got an exam result that really rocked !
I guess I am just a natural Super Brain of Mathematics !
I knew some work really well, and did not know the other work at all. I did not pass the exam. I should have learned EVERYTHING the teacher told me to learn.
Make a summary sheet each time you finish a chapter. When it comes time to study for the exam, go back and revisit these summary sheets.
I did quite a bit of study for the exam, and I am glad I passed !
Try your best to get a good night's sleep before the exam, and eat a good healthy breakfast.
Get one of the teachers to check your Formulas and Summary Sheets to make sure you have all of the stuff you need on them.
Have all of the equipment you need to do your work, including your glasses !
Practice doing the questions faster, so that you will be able to finish the exam in time, and thus be able to attempt all of the questions.
Do more homework during the semester to learn the work better, and not have to learn it all at the end.
Go to the lunchtime help classes. Study with your friends there, and compare summary sheets and do questions and examples together.
Get extra help off people you know that are good at maths.
Make sure you finish all the revision sheets, and check the answers.
The class should do a practice exam under test conditions.
Don't think it's going to be really easy, do a good summary sheet, and show the working out steps for all questions !
Start lots of study at least the week before the exam, not two days before.
Do a good summary sheet:
Questions from every chapter examples, formulas, (formulae), step by steps.
